Frequently asked questions

Who is Embarq for?

Anyone who ships an app and does not want to spend time on legal pages and download links: indie developers, small studios, agencies and freelancers publishing apps for clients, and makers using no-code tools or AI.

Apps are unlimited: an agency can manage all its clients' apps from a single account.

Is this legal advice?

No. Embarq generates templates from your questionnaire answers. They are carefully written and follow Apple and Google requirements, but they do not replace advice from a legal professional.

You remain responsible for the accuracy of the information and the compliance of your pages. You can review and edit every text before publishing.

What happens if I exceed the included visits?

Your €15 per year subscription (incl. VAT) gives you the same amount in resource credit, which covers your visits. Beyond that, each block of 10,000 visits costs €0.50 excl. VAT.

By default your overage cap is €0, so you never pay more unless you decide to.

How does the cap work?

In your dashboard you choose the maximum overage amount per period (€0 by default) and, if you like, an alert threshold. Overage is charged monthly once it reaches €5 in total; otherwise it rolls over and is settled at renewal.

Like Railway, there are two settings: an optional alert threshold that emails you without cutting anything, and a cap. When the cap is reached, your link, legal pages and statistics are paused: visitors see a "service paused" page. Raise the cap and everything is back instantly, with the same URLs.

What if my payment fails?

You are notified by email and a banner in your dashboard on the same day, then reminded on day 3 and day 7. Without payment, the service is suspended on day 14: your link, legal pages and statistics then show a “service suspended” page, including the pages declared to the stores.

Your account and data are deleted on day 60. If you pay before then, everything is reactivated immediately with the same URLs.

Can I get my texts back?

Yes, at any time, even if your account is suspended: every page can be exported as HTML and PDF. Your texts belong to you.

Is Embarq GDPR compliant?

Embarq public pages set no cookies. Visitor IP addresses are never stored in clear text: statistics rely on a hashed fingerprint that is rotated regularly.

The service is hosted by Railway on infrastructure located in Europe. Audience measurement uses Vigie, the cookieless tool built by MENDING.

How many apps can I create?

As many as you like. The number of apps is unlimited: only the total number of visits counts.

Which languages are the pages in?

French and English. You can publish an app in one language or both.

How does VAT work? Will I get an invoice?

Prices shown for consumers include VAT (€15 per year). Businesses that provide a valid EU VAT number are billed excluding VAT (€12.50 per year), with reverse charge where applicable.

Each payment comes with an invoice issued by MENDING's payment platform, available in your dashboard.

How do my users request account deletion?

They fill in the form on your app's account deletion page. You receive the request by email and, if you wish, by webhook to your backend. You mark it as done from your dashboard or from your AI agent.

What is the MCP server?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) lets an AI agent such as Claude, Cursor or Windsurf use Embarq for you: create an app, fill in the questionnaire from your code, get the URLs to paste in the stores or check your statistics.

For safety, no payment and no deletion are possible over MCP, and every action is logged.

Your app deserves better than a Google Doc for a privacy policy
